The Portage Education Foundation (PEF) is excited to once again offer summer camp experiences to PPS students coming summer 2025!! PEF Summer Technology Exploration Program (STEP) allows students to continue to learn and explore STEAM topics in an exciting summer camp program format. The PEF has partnered with the Air Zoo, WMU, KAMSC, KIA, KNC, KRESA and ATYP to secure a limited number of seats in-person on PPS campus and off-site at partner sites for students across all grade levels (K-12). Registration opens in the spring and will be limited to one camp session per student. PEF picks up the tab for these camps thanks in large part to our generous donors, but a $10 non-refundable registration fee will apply. Registrants must be PPS students.

Scholarships

The Future of our World

The Portage Education Foundation offers a number of scholarship opportunities to graduating seniors at Portage Public Schools. The scholarships range from $500 to $5,000. Nearly all of these scholarships are the result of a generous donation to the Portage Education Foundation, and the application requirements have been established by those donors. Some of these donors are family members of the honoree and have a special connection to the award. Those students who are awarded a scholarship will be notified prior to graduation. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college the awardee is attending. Please supply COMPLETE and detailed information or essays, as required. Application window is usually late fall to mid-February – with exact dates communicated to students and school counseling staff each fall, and throughout the application period.

SMART WAYS TO HELP OUR COMMUNITY

Portage Education Foundation

Why we do what we do...

T E S T I M O N I A L S

The Portage Education Foundation eased the path for our daughter to continue her education after high school.  Originally, we thought we needed to wait a year before she enrolled at Michigan State, but the foundation made it easy to get scholarship help. Thank you PEF for supporting us and continuing great work for the community.
