Scholarships for StudentsThe Portage Education Foundation offers a number of scholarship opportunities to graduating seniors at Portage Public Schools. The scholarships range from $500 to $5,000. Nearly all of these scholarships are the result of a generous donation to the Portage Education Foundation, and the application requirements have been established by those donors.

Grants for TeachersEach spring the PEF will award 20 mini-grants of up to $250 each, and two pilot projects of up to $2500 each. We engage with teachers to fund classroom mini-grants that “plug small holes” often found by teachers who need an extra piece of equipment, want to explore a new technology with students, or innovate how they teach students.

STEP ProgramOur Summer Technology Exploration Program (STEP) is available to our students every summer at no-cost to families. This program allows students to apply lessons they learn throughout the school year in a more applied manner than can be conducted through traditional curriculum. Examples of our past classes have been Guitar Building, Movie Making, Computer Game Programming, and 3-D Printing.
